Today is the start of my training at Hersheys Philippines. Will be staying in Manila for one week.
Just be fortunate to miss the earthquake. Heard from the office colleagues that slight earthquake stike their office at 8.00 am where I am on the way to office. S I do not feel it.
People in the office do not start work so punctually like what we in Singapore do. Hope I will have a good stay in Phillipines.

Hot weather
It's June and the weather is so hot, ranging around 25-33 Deg Celcius. Every night, just could not sleep without the help of air-conditioner turning on.
Hot weather also can make a person feels hot temper easily. I don't know, my girl will be having band performance tomorrow, and I felt that for the past few days, she was so fustrated easily, perhaps because of 'stress, because of 'band mates', tickets could not sell fast enough etc etc..... She don't know when she was stress, I also felt very stressful.
Sometimes is easy to comment certain behaviour when we saw on TV series, but when things happened to us, often we were not noticed that we also behaved that way

Gathering with old 'sec 4' classmates
Last Saturday evening I have a BBQ gathering with many of the 'old ' sec 4 classmates. It has been 25 years since we completed our 'O' levels. Times flies. Many of us are already father and mother, our children are mostly teenagers now. We have a good times chatting and the 2-3 hours gathering seemed not enough to finish the 25 years story. Every one is so keen to look forward to the next gathering!

Came back from JiuZhaiGou, Sichuan province China on 01 May 2009. It was still snowing there and the weather was so cold. Our group did not prepared ourselves with proper winter clothing and we were caught in the snow. The Jiuzhai airport was closed due to heavy snow on the day when we are flying back to Chengdu, the city of Sichuan. Our flight was delayed for nine hours........
JiuzhaiGou has very nice scenery. We went there in late April. Heard from the tour guide that September to October has the best view on the scenery (autumn weather).
The Panda exhibits was very nice too.... They were so cute and active!!

忍
This two weeks, I am not very happy at work, not because of work, is the surrounding people.
My 'bossy' colleague like to shout from her seat to me (when talking to me). We sit quite a distance away so she has to talk very loud, and peraps I do not like to way she talk, I replied without giving her any 'face' 有 来 有 往.
She will say ...... Just say YES or NO
She will say ...... Just do the way I said
and when you asked something, she will say ..... 'very busy lah'
If she is willing to lower her volume when talking, perhaps I will also lower my volume.
Any way, every morning when I come to office, I have to tell myself

A New Van Houten is Born
Yesterday, on 05 March 2009 VH Singapore has finally under 'HE' We are 'One HE'.
After so many months of negotiations, finally on 05 March 2009 BC confirmed their sales of consumer unit - VH Singapore to HE gorup. I will be under a total new employment under the arm of 'HE' team but according to the management, our VH team daily operations has no change and we will still be responsible for our current work.
Yesterday afternoon, the team of 'HE' arrived our office and we were introduced and have a 'get together' session with a presentation from our boss of each side.
To me, this is a new start and an excited day! Hopefully the 'HE' group is another company that I can look forward to work for another ten years!

I am so busy..... (may be an excuse of lazy) and have forgotten about my blog. For the last two months, many things took place. In December, my family, my sister's family, my brother's family (one big group) we went to Bejaya Hills Resort (French village) and to KL for a short trip. Is a relaxation holiday with so many family members together. Two days after we came back, we attended my nephew's wedding. The following weekend is Christmas and followed by New Year countdown. So for the whole of December, I am so excited, and have done a lot of things before the closure of 2008.
Come January 2009, Chinese New Year is around the corner. Now I am busy preparing the goodies for Chinese New Year. Although time is bad, but as Chinese we still will prepare a lot of goodies to welcome the New Year. Just checked the price of 'Bakkua' during lunch time, last week the 'frangrance shop' was selling at $36 a kg and now it is $42 a kg ( woooo..... ). Finally I went to 'Bee Cheng Hiang' and bought 1 kg from them. Their price last week was $39 a kg and now they are selling at $41 a kg.
